Position: Construction General Manager

Employment Type: Full-time (30-35 hours/week), Permanent

Position Overview
Buildtech Contracting Inc. is seeking an experienced Construction General Manager to lead and oversee all construction operations, business development, and strategic planning initiatives. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving company growth and ensuring operational excellence across all projects.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate overall construction operations and company performance
- Develop and implement strategic plans, business objectives, and operational policies
- Oversee multiple construction and development projects from planning to completion
- Lead and manage senior staff, including project managers, engineers, and site supervisors
- Review and approve project budgets, schedules, and resource allocations
- Direct business development activities, including identifying new markets and securing contracts
- Establish and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and government authorities
- Monitor financial performance, including cost control, budgeting, and profitability analysis
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards
- Represent the company in negotiations, stakeholder meetings, and industry engagements

Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field .
- Diploma in Architecture or related discipline is considered a strong asset
- Minimum 5–7 years of senior management experience in construction, development, or related industry
- Experience in overseeing construction businesses, development projects, or operating a construction company is strongly preferred
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role (e.g., Managing Director, General Manager, or Business Owner)
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, project management, and development processes
- Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale projects, budgets, and multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
- Ability to develop business strategies and drive organizational growth
