Job Description
We are seeking a reliable, caring, and responsible Child Caregiver/Home Child Care Provider to assist with the daily care and supervision of children in a private household in Edmonton, Alberta. The ideal candidate will provide a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment while helping with childcare-related household duties.
Main Duties
- Supervise and care for children in employer’s residence
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks
- Assist children with personal hygiene and daily routines
- Organize age-appropriate activities, games, and educational play
- Escort children to and from school, appointments, or activities if required
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
- Perform light housekeeping related to childcare (tidying play areas, children’s laundry, meal cleanup)
- Follow parents’ instructions regarding children’s routines and care
Requirements
- Secondary school completion preferred
- Previous childcare or caregiving experience is an asset
- Ability to communicate in English
- Reliable, patient, and trustworthy
- First Aid/CPR certification is an asset
- Criminal record check may be required
