Duties:

• · Daily Assistance: Help with bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene.
• · Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious and customized meals to suit dietary needs.
• · Companionship: Participate in friendly conversation, provide emotional support, and conduct engaging activities.
• · Medication Reminders: Assist in the administration of medications and ensure the correct medication is taken on time under the general direction of a healthcare provider or other qualified professional.
• · Mobility Support: Assist with walking, exercise, and transfers.
• · Household Tasks: Light housekeeping such as laundry, washing dishes and making beds to maintain a safe and clean environment.

Requirements:

• Completion of secondary school is required
• First aid certification is required
• 1+ year of experience in taking care of elderly individuals in private homes, including during periods of incapacitation and convalescence
• Must be reliable and have excellent communication skills
• Must be nurturing, attentive, and have effective interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to prepare nutritious meals
• Willing to provide routine health-related duties such as assisting in the administration of medications
• Flexible to work on weekends
